Larry Nelson, PSP

Larry Nelson is a resolute professional with experience managing and mentoring security teams. He retired January 2023 from Columbus Division of Police after 28 years of work in Columbus Ohio, and from the United States Navy with 20 years of service as a Senior Chief Petty Officer and as the Senior Enlisted Advisor for Special Operations Warfare Unit SEAL Team 18, unmanned arial systems and direct support units.

As a Master Instructor, Larry has implemented lesson plans and mentored thousands of veterans and novice police officers, fire fighters, HR professionals, business executives, and customer service professionals with subject matter expertise in Vulnerability Assessments, Deescalation, Behavioral Observation, Bias, and Active Aggressor Response. He implemented the Active Aggressor programs for Law Enforcement and Fire agencies in Columbus Ohio, attaining national recognition for business and citizen safety techniques along with how to create Emergency Action Plans.
