Tom Templeton is Safe Passage Consulting's President and founder. Tom is a successful business owner many times over. He teaches others what he knows because he has proved himself in his own life. His clients come from many diverse industries. He now focuses his time and energy exclusively on assisting small business owners achieve success. Tom has over 25 years of successful leadership experience in progressive, technology-based organizations. His career and education is a unification of technical, marketing, sales and financial skills, including a BS Engineering from Purdue University.

Between 1990 and 2001, Tom successfully built his software technology company to a five million dollar profit center. He served as President and founder of Building Blocks, Inc., a software products and services organization specializing in automated CAD/CAM, Nesting and other specialty product applications, including MDF cabinet doors, solid surface countertops, etc. Tom worked closely with most of the major software and machine tool organizations within the industry. He sold the business to Stiles Machinery in 2001. Following that success, he grew to be a much sought-after business and technology consultant.

Today, Tom works with small businesses to help them develop into a healthy profit centers. During our planning and assessment services, Tom asks extremely thought provoking questions. He explores strategic possibilities well beyond the scope of most business strategists. He specializes in out-of-the-box thinking and strategies that can propel companies into a far more successful future. In addition, he can assist companies with implementation of their strategic plans. Tom has experience across broad levels of strategic planning including exit strategies, business start-up, marketing, acquisition and growth strategies, employee recruitment and hiring, cost controls, sales programs and general business management.
